About Camber

Camber has grown from a small coastal village to a tourism hotspot during the summer months mainly due to its award winning beach and coastline. The Pontins holiday camp was built in the late sixties to cater for Camber's growing holiday trade.

Over the years the Camber Leisure Park formally know as Maddisons and Silversands have evolved to also cater for holiday makers and holiday home owners.The service industry has had to improve in order to deal with the increased tourism trade. People visiting Camber now have a variety of establishments where they can eat and drink and many things to see and do in the area.

In recent years Camber has seen a dramatic increase in new developments for which there has been popular demand in the form of the Whitesand development and Rye bay beach homes.Over the coming years dramatic changes will be seen in and around Camber in order to cater for the growing number of visitors and home owners moving to Camber.
